WHEREAS, First Federal Savings and Loan has applied to
the County for refund of an overpayment of 1984 city taxes in the
amount of Five Hundred Eighty-Four Dollars and Sixty-Nine Cents
($584.69) ; and,
WHEREAS, the County Tax Assessor/Collector has notified
the city of the error and has requested a refund of the above
amount; and,
WHEREAS, State law requires the approval of the City
Council for all tax refunds in excess of Five Hundred Dollars
($500) ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the refund of Five Hundred Eighty-Four Dollars and Sixty-Nine
Cents ( $584.69) to First Federal Savings and Loan for the
overpayment of 1984 city taxes be approved.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
