R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on February 10, 1986, bids were received for the
purchase of approximately 1 ,000 gallons of herbicide; and,
WHEREAS, Van Waters & Rogers, Houston, Texas, submitted a
bid for the purchase of approximately 200 gallons of Isopropylamine
salt of Glyphosate (Roundup) in the amount of $14,550 and Tide
Products submitted a bid for the purchase of approximately 1 ,000
gallons of monosodium acid methanearsonate (MSMA) in the amount of
$7, 790; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by Van Waters & Rogers and Tide Products are the lowest and
best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Van Waters & Rogers for the purchase of
approximately 200 gallons of Isoprophlamine salt of Glyphosate
(Roundup) in the amount of $14, 550 and Tide Products for the purchase
of approximately 1 ,000 gallons of monosodium acid methanearsonate
(MSMA) in the amount of $7, 790 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
day of 1986.
