WHEREAS, on June 17, 1985, City Council passed a
resolution awarding a bid to Greer Construction Company for
construction of sidewalks on the east side of Fourth Street from
Washington to Virginia and on the north side of Hale Street from
Magnolia to Pine; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 provides for the moving of
twenty-five feet (25' ) of sanitary sewer line on Fourth Street
which is in conflict with the grade of the proposed sidewalk for a
lump sum fee of Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($450) ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 1 to the contract between Greer Construction
Company and the City of Beaumont for the construction of sidewalks
on Fourth Street and Hale Street increasing the amount of the
contract from $134, 865 to $135, 315.
