R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on January 27, 1986, bids were received for the
purchase of fifteen (15) pushmowers and five (5 ) self-propelled
mowers for Parks and Recreation and one (1 ) riding lawnmower for
Water Utilities; and,
WHEREAS, Jim' s Lawnmower of Port Arthur submitted a bid in
the amount of $2 ,550.00 for fifteen (15) pushmowers and $1 ,069.50 for
five (5 ) self-propelled mowers and Sears of Beaumont submitted a bid
in the amount of $1 ,799.00 for one (1 ) riding mower; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by Jim' s Lawnmower and Sears are the best and lowest bids
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Jim' s Lawnmower and Sears for the purchase
of lawnmowers for the above-stated amounts for the Parks and
Recreation and Water Utilities Departments be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
