WHEREAS, on November 11, 1985, bids were received for the
purchase of ten ( 10) two-door and four-door sedans; and
WHEREAS, Beaumont Motor Company of Beaumont, Texas,
submitted a bid in the amount of $9,674.51 for each four-door sedan
and J . K. Chevrolet of Nederland, Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of 5,852.90 for each two-door sedan; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by Beaumont Motor Company and J . K. Chevrolet are the
lowest and best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Beaumont Motor Company for four (4)
four-door sedans in the amount of $9,674.51 each and totalling
$38,698.04 and the bid submitted by J . K. Chevrolet for six (6 )
two-door sedans in the amount of $5,852.90 and totalling $35, 117.40
are hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
