R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on April 17, 1984, City Council passed a
resolution awarding a bid to BRH-Garver, Inc. for Contract 11 &
17B, construction of sanitary sewers to facilitate separation of
the combined sewer system and to construct a 17 m.g.d. lift station
and 2 ,667 feet of force main; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 , as proposed, provides for
adjustment of as-built quantities, " field changes" incurred during
construction, an increase in contract time by 27 days due to bad
weather, establishing the contract completion date as April 22,
1985 and providing for final payment to the contractor ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 1 to Contract 11 & 17B, construction of sanitary
sewers with BRH-Garver, Inc. , increasing the contract amount to
$2, 114,091 .12 and make final payment to BRH-Garver, Inc. in the
amount of ,$133, 320.79.
