BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
an agreement to employ the firm of R. W. Beck & Associates to
provide expert analysis and testimony in the recently filed request
for an increase in electric rates by Gulf States Utilities
Company.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he
is hereby, authorized to retain Don Butler and Associates as
special counsel to assist in providing legal services for the City
of Beaumont in the pending -GSU request. The fees for these
services are to be reimbursed by Gulf States Utilities Company.
