WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the City Manager to
execute a contract amendment with ARA providing terms and
conditions of the phase out of ARA; and,
WHEREAS, the contract provided for a rental arrangement
with Shepherds for uniforms and a lease/purchase agreement with A.
B . Dick for a copier; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the city' s best interest to make a
one-time payout in satisfaction of the obligations under the
contract rather than continuing monthly payments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to purchase
one hundred ten (110) uniforms from Shepherds for an amount of One
Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty Dollars ($1 ,980) .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he
is hereby, authorized to purchase an A. B . Dick copier in the
amount of Two Thousand Two Hundred Forth Three Dollars and
Eighty-Four Cents ( $2 , 243.84) .
