R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on May 1 , 1984, City Council passed a resolution
awarding a bid to John Bankston Construction and Equipment Rental,
Inc. for construction of sanitary and storm sewers, Contracts 6B,
18B and 18D; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 is being proposed for adjust-
ments of as-built quantities, " field changes" , incurred during
construction that were necessary to complete the project, increase
the contract time by forty-four (44) days due to bad weather,
establish contract completion date of June 8, 1985 and provide a
basis for final payment to the contractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 2 to Contract 6B , 18B and 18D, Sanitary Sewer
Improvements with John Bankston Construction and Equipment Rentals,
Inc. increasing the contract amount to $1 , 313,511 .22 and make final
payment to John Bankston Construction & Equipment Rentals, Inc. in
the amount of $98, 346.84.
