WHEREAS, April 23, 1985 the City of Beaumont awarded a
contract to Doty Construction Company in the amount of $67, 141.60,
(City' s share including engineering fees $27, 225.77 plus $384. 17
interest rebate to the developer) for the Westgate Participation
Project; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been completed in accordance
with plans and specifications at a cost $1 ,016.80 (city' s share,
$370.04 and developer' s share, $646.76) below the specified bid
amount due to the fact that the quantities used were less than
those specified in the bid proposal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Westgate Participation Project is hereby accepted by the
City of Beaumont and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to make final payment to Doty Construction Company in
the amount of $33, 758.91 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that reimbursement be made to Sam
C . Parigi, Jr. , Trustee, Developer, for his share of the underrun
in the amount of $646.76.
