WHEREAS, on September 16, 1985 bids were received for an
annual contract for the purchase of 5/8" , 1 " and 2" water meters on
an as needed basis over a one (1 ) year basis; and,
WHEREAS, Neptune Water Meter Company of Dallas, Texas
submitted a bid in the amount of $42, 712.50; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Neptune Water Meter Company is the lowest and best bid
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Neptune Water Meter Company be accepted
by the City of Beaumont in the amount of $42, 712.50 for an annual
contract to purchase 5/8" , 1 " and 2" water meters on an as needed
basis over a one (1 ) year period.
