WHEREAS, July 9, 1985, the City of Beaumont awarded a
contract to A . W. Busby Contracting, Inc. in the amount of
$18,461 .28 for pavement, joint and curb repair on Willow Bend
Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been completed in accordance
with plans and specifications at a cost of $19,343. 12 which is
$881 .84 above the contract price due to joint failures that
occurred between the time when the contract documents were prepared
and the contract was completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the pavement, joint and curb repair on Willow Bend Drive is
hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont and that the City Manager
be, and he is hereby, authorized to make final payment to A. W.
Busby Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $967. 16.
