WHEREAS, the 1984-1985 fiscal budget of the City of
Beaumont had estimated revenues of Eight Hundred Seventy-Five
Thousand Dollars ( $875,000) for the Hotel Occupancy Tax; and,
WHEREAS, Nine Hundred Twelve Thousand Eight Hundred
Fifty-Three Dollars ($912,853) was actually collected; and,
WHEREAS, based on the Council' s policy relating to the
disbursement of revenues, allocation of the increased amount should
be made;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Twenty-Three Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-One Dollars
($23, 381) collected on the City' s Hotel Occupancy Tax for the
fiscal period commencing October 1 , 1984 and ending September 30,
1985 is hereby amended to increase the allocation to the Convention
and Visitors Bureau by Sixteen Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-Three
Dollars ($16, 223) and the allocation to the South East Texas Arts
Council by Seven Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Eight Dollars
($7, 158) .
