WHEREAS, on August 12, 1985, bids were received for
Contract 17A & 17C, Separation Sewers Central (Broadway system west
of Gulf Street) ; and,
WHEREAS, Thomas H. Heard Gen. Contractor, Inc. submitted
a bid in the amount of $1,836,072; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Thomas H. Heard Gen. Contractor, Inc. is the lowest
and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Thomas H. Heard Gen. Contractor, Inc. be accepted
by the City of Beaumont, contingent on Texas Department of Water
Resources and Environmental Protection Agency approval, and the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a
contract with Thomas H. Heard Gen. Contractor, Inc. in the amount
of $1 ,836,072 for Contract 17A & 17C, Separation Sewers Central
(Broadway system west of Gulf Street) .
