WHEREAS, on August 26, 1985, bids were received for an
annual contract for the purchase of approximately twenty ( 20) tons of
zinc methaphosphate; and,
WHEREAS, Shannon Chemical Company of Malvern, Pennsylvania
submitted a bid in the amount of $1 , 397.80 per ton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Shannon Chemical Company is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Malvern Chemical Company be accepted by the
City of Beaumont, and the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into an annual contract for the purchase of
approximately twenty ( 20) tons of zinc methaphosphate.
