R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on August 19, 1985 bids were received for the
sale of a 16,958. 39 square foot tract of land acquired as part of the
1979 Buford-Carroll Street Project and a 4488.7 square foot tract of
land acquired as part of the 1975 Sara-Lavaca Street Project; and,
WHEREAS, Herman Davis and Clarence Guidry submitted bids
as follows;
Parcel 1 : Herman Davis $1,000
Parcel 2 : Clarence Guidry $ 700
Herman Davis 200
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by Herman Davis and Clarence Guidry are low and, therefore,
should be rejected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Herman Davis and Clarence Guidry for the
purchase of surplus property be rejected and the tracts of land be
rebid at a later date.
