WHEREAS, on June 17, 1985 bids were received for the
purchase of the former Morgan Park site; and,
WHEREAS, Rueben Sastre (Lombardo' s Tree Service)
submitted a bid in the amount of $15,851 for the purchase of the
former Morgan Park site; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Rueben Sastre (Lombardo' s Tree Service) is the highest
and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Rueben Sastre (Lombardo' s Tree Service)
in the amount of $15,851 for the purchase of the former Morgan Park
site is hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City Manager Karl
Nollenberger be, and he is hereby, authorized to sign the deed on
behalf of the City of Beaumont conveying the property to Rueben
Sastre.
