R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on May 29 , 1985, bids were received for the
demolition and removal of structures located at 1260 Gladys, 1210
Oakland, 165 E . Plum and 235 E . Simmons; and,
WHEREAS, on July 16 , 1985 the contract was awarded to
LaFayette Spivey in the amount of $1 ,400 ; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Sprivey has indicated that he wishes to
withdraw his bid; and,
WHEREAS, Lyons Construction submitted the second lowest
bid at $2 ,558;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by La' Fayette Spivey, Jr. for demolition of
the dangerous structures listed above be withdrawn and the bid of
Lyons Construction in the amount of $2 ,558 and the City Manager is
hereby authorized to make payment for same upon acceptable
completion.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
