WHEREAS, on July 15, 1985, bids were received for the
purchase of 1 ,200 treated fence posts and 35,000 feet of barbed wire
for construction of a fence at the Landfill; and,
WHEREAS, Hamilton Lumber Company of Beaumont, Texas
submitted a bid in the amount of $3 ,540 for the fence posts and Hagan
Fence Company of Beaumont, Texas submitted a bid in the amount of
$661 .50 for the barbed wire; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by Hamilton Lumber Company and Hagan Fence Company are the
lowest and best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Hamilton Lumber Company in the amount of
$3,540 for the purchase of 1 ,200 treated fence posts and Hagan Fence
Company in the amount of $661.50 for the purchase of 35,000 feet of
barbed wire for construction of a fence at the Landfill are hereby
accepted by the City of Beaumont.
