WHEREAS, on June 25, 1985, bids were received for an
annual contract including an option to renew for an additional
year, for the purchase of regular gasoline, unleaded gasoline and
diesel based on the fixed price spread above dealers OPIS average
cost; and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were received:
Martin Matthews, Beaumont, Texas:

Regular Gasoline - Transport Load .899/gal. .0926/gal.
Unleaded Gasoline - Transport Load .944/gal. .0930/gal.
Texaco, Inc. , Port Arthur, Texas:
Diesel - Transport Load .803/gal. .0784/gal.
Sitton Oil Company, Beaumont, Texas:
Regular Gasoline - Tankwagon Load .9270/gal. . 1206/gal.
Unleaded Gasoline - Tankwagon Loan .9670/gal. .1160/gal.
Diesel - Tankwagon Load .8295/gal. .1049/gal.
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted are the lowest and best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted above be accepted by the City of Beaumont
in the amounts stated for an annual contract including an option to
renew for an additional year for the purchase of regular gasoline,
unleaded gasoline and diesel.
