HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 85-172 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, R. M. Warchol has made application for tax exemption for a commercial building in need of tax relief to encourage preservation; and, WHEREAS, the Historic Landmark Commission has investigated the property and recommends approval of the application for exemption; and, WHEREAS, the Waterford Hotel has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT it has been determined that all the requirements of Article IV of the Code of Ordinances (exemption for historically significant sites) have been met. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Waterford Hotel be, and it is hereby, certified as a historically significant site in need of tax relief to encourage preservation and that only the historic structure and the land reasonably necessary for access and use thereof is to be provided favorable tax relief as provided in Section 25-58 of the Code of Ordinances.
