WHEREAS, on September 25, 1984 the City of Beaumont
awarded a contract to Russ Miller Construction Company in the
amount of $204,798.41 (City' s share, including engineering fee is
$69,405.72) for the construction of Shelby Drive from 135 feet
south of Doty a distance of 330 feet to a point 140 feet north of
Gross as a 37-foot residential collector street in lieu of a
27-foot residential street, and the construction of storm drainage
along Riggs Street from Calhoun to Drainage District No. 6 ' s ditch
No. 12-B; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been completed at a total cost
of $205,856.35 (City' s share is $170,293.51) , which is an overrun
of $1 ,057.94 (City' s share is $887.79) , or 0 .520 of the total
project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT construction of Shelby Drive from 135 feet south of Doty and
the construction of storm drainage along Riggs Street is hereby
accepted by the City of Beaumont and that the City Manager be, and
he is hereby, authorized to make final payment to Russ Miller
Construction Company in the amount of $10,292.82.
