WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of two ( 2)
transmitter base stations for use at the Police Station; and,
WHEREAS, General Electric Mobile Communications Division of
Houston, Texas submitted the only bid received in the amount of
$0, 595 each for a total cost of $13, 192 ;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by General Electric Mobile Communications Division is the
lowest and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by General Electric Mobile Communications
Division for the purchase of two ( 2) base stations for use in the
Police Department is hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont.
