WHEREAS, on April 1 , 1985, bids were received for an
annual contract for the maintenance of elevators in City Hall, the
Police Building, the Beaumont Public Library, Julie Rogers Theatre,
(1 elevator and 1 orchestra lift) , and the Civic Center; and
WHEREAS, Great Southern Elevators of Beaumont, Texas
submitted a bid in the amount of $7,380; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Great Southern Elevators is the lowest and best bid
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Great Southern Elevators be accepted by the City of
Beaumont in the amount of $7,380 for maintenance of elevators in
City Hall, the Police Building, the Beaumont Public Library, Julie
Rogers Theatre, ( 1 elevator and 1 orchestra lift) , and the Civic
Center for the one ( 1 ) year period commencing May 7 , 1985.
