R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on April 18 , 1985, bids were received for a one
year contract for the purchase of one ton cylinders of liquid
chlorine; and,
WHEREAS, Jones Chemicals, Inc. , of Houston, Texas,
submitted a bid of $281 per ton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Jones Chemicals, Inc. , is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Jones Chemicals, Inc. , be accepted by the City of
Beaumont, and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
enter into a contract with Jones Chemicals, Inc. , for a one year
contract for the purchase of one ton cylinders of liquid chmorine.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
