WHEREAS, bids were received for a one year contract for
the purchase of 1 1/2 sack per ton and 2 sack per ton sand cement;
and,
WHEREAS, Keown Supply Company, Inc. , of Beaumont, Texas,
submitted a bid of $10 .25/ton for the 1 1/2 sack per ton and $12.25/
ton for the 2 sack per ton sand cement; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Keown Supply Company, Inc. , is the lowest and best bid
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Keown Supply Company, Inc. , be accepted by the City
of Beaumont, and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
enter into a contract with Keown Supply Company, Inc. , for a one year
contract for the purchase of 1 1/2 sack/ton and 2 sack/ton sand
cement.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
day of 1985.
