R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on March 4, 1985 bids were received for the sale of two
surplus parcels of land no longer needed by the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, Oscar Sims submitted a bid in the amount of $4,500.00 for
Parcel No. 1 , a 0.38 acre tract of land out of Lots 19 and 20 of Thurlow
Court Addition, and Joe E. O'Fiel submitted a bid in the amount of $1 ,200.00
for Parcel No. 2, a 2300.0 square foot tract of land out of City Tax Tract 25,
Plat "N" , David Brown League, Abstract 5;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute for and in
behalf of the City of Beaumont two general warranty deeds, one conveying the
0.38 acre tract of land out of Lots 19 and 20, Thurlow Court Addition, to
Oscar Sims for $,4,500.00 and one conveying the 2300.0 square foot tract
of land out of City Tax Tract 25, Plat "N", David Brown League, Abstract 5,
to Joe E. O'Fiel for $1 ,200.00.
