WHEREAS, on May 1 , 1984, the City of Beaumont awarded a
contract to John Bankston Construction & Equipment Rental, Inc. for
constructing separation sewers in the north section of the city;
and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 has been recommended providing
for extra work in the amount of $55,864, due to an unexpected
conflict with an existing 42" water transmission line and the
proposed 36" storm sewer in two locations along the proposed route;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
Change Order No. 1 to the contract with John Bankston Construction &
Equipment Rental, Inc. for constructing separation sewers in the
north section of the city for a revised contract amount of
$1 ,267,294 .90 .
