WHEREAS, bids were received for the rehabilitation of Mr.
Eugene Whittington' s residence at 1368 Doucette; and,
WHEREAS, Neches Engineers and Contractors, Inc. submitted a
bid in the amount of $33,467; and,
WHEREAS, Milton Bell Associates, Inc. provided
architectural and inspection services in the amount of $3 ,481 .76;
and,
WHEREAS, six percent (6% ) of the construction fees are to
be used for contingencies; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Neches Engineers and Contractors, Inc. is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Neches Engineers and Contractors, Inc. for
the rehabilitation of Mr. Eugene Whittington' s residence at 1368
Doucette is hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Milton Bell Associates, Inc.
be paid the sum of $3 ,481 .76 for architectural and inspection
services;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT six percent ( 6%) of the
construction costs be retained for contingencies.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
