WHEREAS, on December 7 , 1984, bids were received for a six
month contract for ready-mix cement; and,
WHEREAS, Smith Materials of Beaumont, Texas submitted the
following bid:
5 sacks ready mix $51.50/cubic yard
Add or deduct cement at rate of 4 .00/sack
Type III High Early - add 3 .00/cubic yard
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Smith Materials is the lowest and best bid and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Smith Materials be accepted by the City of Beaumont,
and the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to enter into a
six months contract with Smith Materials in the amounts stated above
for ready-mix cement.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
