WHEREAS, on July 16, 1984, bids were received for the
purchase of five ( 5 ) pickup trucks; and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were received:
Bidders 1/2 Ton Small Pickup
Pickup Truck Truck
JK Chevrolet $7,257. 35 ea. $6 ,476. 17 ea.
Ray Bernard Oldsmobile-Cadillac 8 ,645.00 ea. 6 ,092. 00 ea.
Beaumont Motor Co. 7,390.50 ea. 6,702. 86 ea.
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids
submitted by JK Chevrolet and Ray Bernard Oldsmobile-Cadillac are
the lowest and best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT :
THAT the bid submitted by JK Chevrolet in the amount of $14,514.70
for the purchase of two 1/2 ton pickup trucks and the bid submitted
by Ray Bernard Oldsmobile-Cadillac in the amount of $18 ,276 for the
purchase of three small pickups are hereby accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
the day of 1984.
