WHEREAS, on September 20, 1983, the City of Beaumont
awarded a bid for Sanitary Sewer Improvements Contract 16,
Separation Sewers - South, Grant #C-481254-04 to C & P Equipment
Corporation in the amount of $1 , 463,914. 35; and,
WHEREAS, the contract for Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Contract 16, Separation Sewers - South, Grant #C-481254-04 has been
assigned to Sterling Utility Construction, Inc. ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont hereby approves the assignment of the
contract for Sanitary Sewer Improvements Contract 16, Separation
Sewers - South, Grant #C-481254-04 in the amount of $1 ,463,914. 35
by C & P Equipment Corporation to Sterling Utility Construction,
Inc.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he
is hereby , authorized to execute the appropriate documents
approving the assignment and releasing C & P Equipment Corporation
from further obligations under the balance of the contract to be
assigned.
