WHEREAS, a survey of Municipal Court activity in
thirteen ( 13) Texas cities ranging in population from 85,000 to
232,000 was recently conducted in order to evaluate Beaumont' s
court system relative to comparably sized cities; and,
WHEREAS, Beaumont' s judicial salaries are lower compared
to similar part-time compensation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to increase
Judge John Paul Davis' salary to $1 , 657 per month and Judge Wendell
Radford' s salary to $140 per session effective April 1 , 1984.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
