WHEREAS, the Southeast Texas Arts Council (SETAC) desires
to foster meaningful growth of local arts agencies and,
consequently , of their arts constituencies; and,
WHEREAS, SETAC desires to encourage comprehensive
planning, uniformly undertaken, by local government, local arts
agencies, and the communities they serve; and,
WHEREAS, SETAC desires to secure more public funds for
arts organizations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont recognizes the Southeast Texas Arts
Council as the primary coordinating representative of the Arts
Organizations in Southeast Texas.
