WHEREAS, on April 9 , 1984, bids were received for
Contract 6B , 18B and 18D, Separation Sewers-North and Sanitary
Sewer Replacement on Lucas; and,
WHEREAS, John Bankston Construction & Equipment Rentals,
Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of $1 ,211,430 ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by John Bankston Construction & Equipment Rentals , Inc.
is the lowest and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMO NT:
THAT the bid of John Bankston Construction & Equipment Rentals,
Inc. be accepted by the City of Beaumont, subject to approval by
the Texas Department of Water Resources and the Environmental
Protection Agency , and the City Manager be, and he is hereby ,
authorized to enter into an a contract with John Bankston
Construction & Equipment Rentals, Inc. in the amount of $1 ,211 ,430
for Contract 6B , 18B and 18D, Separation Sewers-North and Sanitary
Sewer Replacement on Lucas.
