WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont is presently developing and
signing truck routes within the city limits; and,
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation has agreed to fabricate and install "Thru Hazardous
Materials Route" signs on state maintained highways on a cost
reimbursement basis; and,
WHEREAS, the estimated cost to fabricate and install six
(6 ) "Thru Hazardous Materials Route" signs is $11 ,000 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT funds be allocated from the Street Division for reimbursement to
the State for the fabrication and installation of six (6 ) "Thru
Hazardous Materials Route" signs in an estimated amount of $11 ,000.
