WHEREAS, on May 3 , 1983 the City of Beaumont awarded a
contract to Saucier and Sons Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of
$156, 130. 29 for the Gorman Street Bridge Replacement and the
Hillebrandt Bayou at 23rd Street Crossing Projects; and,
WHEREAS, the project was completed ten ( 10) calendar days
after the contract completion date; and,
WHEREAS, final payment is being requested in the amount of
$8,955. 94 less liquidated damages of $2 ,100 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Gorman Street Bridge Replacement and the Hillebrandt Bayou
at 23rd Street Crossing Projects are hereby accepted by the City of
Beaumont and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized
to make final payment to Saucier and Sons Enterprises, Inc. in the
amount of $6,855.94.
