WHEREAS, on August 23, 1983, City Council awarded a
contract to John Bankston Construction Company in the amount of
$152,136.60 for the construction of the Crow Road Participation
Project from Delaware Street 1320 feet north; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been completed in accordance
with the plans and specifications at a cost of $150,867. 50 ; and,
WHEREAS, the developer, W. T. Little, has previously
deposited his share of the construction cost in the amount of $97 ,416
with the city; and,
WHEREAS, the construction cost was less than the estimate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the construction of the Crow Road Participation Project from
Delaware Street 1320 feet north is hereby accepted by the City of
Beaumont and that the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized
to make final payment to John Bankston Construction Company in the
amount of $7 ,543. 38 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the developer, W. T. Little, be
refunded the sum of $792.
