WHEREAS, bids were received for a six months contract
for approximately 4 ,000 tons of oyster shell; and,
WHEREAS, Radcliff Materials, Inc, of Beaumont, Texas
submitted a bid in the amount of $13. 50 per ton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Radcliff Materials , Inc. is the lowest and best bid and
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Radcliff Materials, Inc. in the amount of $13.50 per
ton be accepted by the City of Beaumont and that the City Manager be,
and he is hereby , authorized to enter into a six months contract with
Radcliff Materials, Inc. for approximately 4 ,000 tons of oyster
shell.
