WHEREAS, bids were received for Project 16 - Separation of
Sewers-South; and,
WHEREAS, C & P Equipment Co . , Inc. submitted a bid in the
amount of $1 ,463,914. 35 ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by C & P Equipment Co. , Inc. is the lowest and best bid
received and should be accepted subject to approval by the Texas
Department of Water Resources and the Environmental Protection
Agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of C & P Equipment Co. , Inc. is hereby accepted by the
City of Beaumont subject to approval by the Texas Department of Water
Resources and the Environmental Protection Agency and that the City
Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to enter into a contract with
C & P Equipment Co. , Inc. in the amount of $1 ,463 ,914 .35 for Project
16 -Separation of Sewers-South after approval as herein provided.
