WHEREAS, on May 18 , 1982, the City of Beaumont awarded a
contract to Erwin-Nash Construction Company in the amount of
$2,543,000.00 for the construction of the service center; and,
WHEREAS, Change Orders No. 5 and 6 are being proposed as
follows: Change Order No . 5 provides for alterations in Building
"B" , the vehicle maintenance building, increasing the contract price
by $5,230 .00, and Change Order No. 6 provides for additional pavement
at the site entrance to insure a proper turning radius for large
vehicles and assist in the flow of traffic and would increase the
contract price by $21,924 .00, bringing the new contract total to
$2,573, 715 .00 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to execute
Change Orders No . 5 and 6 to the contract between the City of
Beaumont and Erwin-Nash Construction Company to allow for alterations
in Building "B" and additional pavement to the site entrance.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
