R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont entered into a fleet
maintenance/management contract with ARA Services, Inc. on September
21 , 1982 ; and,
WHEREAS, said contract was for a three-year term with
annual renegotiation of compensation and other financial terms;
and,
WHEREAS, due to higher parts cost, assumption of
additional maintenance responsibilities, the move to the new service
center, salary increases, and higher administration and overhead
costs, ARA Services, Inc. has requested an increase in their
contract of $269,220 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an amendment
to the fleet/maintenance contract with ARA Services, Inc. to provide
for an increase in the target price of $269,220 for the contract
period commencing October 1 , 1983 and ending September 30, 1984.
