BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to approve the
amendments to the contract between the City of Beaumont and the
Beaumont Emergency Medical Services Corporation in the form attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" .

CONTRACT
This agreement is made and entered into on the day
of 1983, between the City of Beaumont, a
municipal corporation of the State of Texas, hereinafter called
"City" , acting herein by and through its duly authorized City
Manager, in the Beaumont Emergency Medical Services Corporation,
the Texas non-profit corporation, hereinafter called "Company" ,
acting herein by and through its duly authorized officers .
W I T N E S S E T H :
WHEREAS, City and Company entered into a contract dated May
20 , 1982 concerning providing emergency medical services to the
citizens of the City; and,
WHEREAS, City and company desire to mutually amend said
contract by adding provisions extending the contract ana
establishing the City' s contribution for the period October 1 , 1982
to September 30 , 1983.
NOW , THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual
promises ana covenants contained herein, the contract between City
and Company dated May 20 , 1982 is hereby amended to ada two
provisions to read as follows:
1 .
The term of this contract as established in paragraph 5 of
the original contract shall be extended three months after June 30 ,
1983 , said contract to expire on September 30 , 1983.
2.
Total payments made by the City to Company for the period
of October 1 , 1982 until September 30, 1983 shall not exceec
$290 , 000 .
