BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to apply for a
UPARR Grant in the amount of $367,000.00 from the National Park
Service to fund the following projects:
- Tyrrell Park Recreation Center Rehabilitation
- Cottonwood Park rehabilitation ( new playground)
- Weiss Park rehabilitation ( sidewalks and new playground)
- McLean Park rehabilitation ( new playground and
basketball pavilion
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that $40,000 in Community
Development funds which were allocated for park improvements in the
1983 Jobs Bill Statement be used for matching funds in the UPARR
application herein authorized.
