WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract for the
purchase of 20 tons of zinc hexametaphosphate TG-10 ; and,
WHEREAS, Calgon Corporation submitted a bid in the amount of
$2300 .00/ton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Calgon Corporation is the lowest and best bid and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Calgon Corporation is hereby accepted by the City of
Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Calgon Corporation in the amount of $46,000 .00 for 20
tons of zinc hexametaphosphate T'G-10.
