R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Highways and Public
Transportation has requested recommendations for projects to be
included in the 1983-86 Federal-Aid Urban Systems Program; and,
WHEREAS, on June 15, 1982, the City Council approved a plan
of transportation improvements, including construction of Gladys
Street between Dowlen Road and Major Drive and construction of
Washington Boulevard between IH-10 and Langham Road;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont hereby recommends that portions of Gladys
Street and Washington Boulevard be included in the 1983-86 Federal-
Aid Urban Systems Program.
