R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on November 24, 1981 the City of Beaumont awarded
a contract for construction of Riverfront Park to H. B . Neild & Sons,
Inc. in the amount of $1 ,697,000. 00 ; and,
WHEREAS, on February 9 , 1982 the City Council approved
Change Order No. 1 reducing the amount of the contract by
$ 438 ,452. 00 ; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 82-43 the City of Beaumont approved
the assignment of this contract from H. B . Neild and Sons, Inc. to
Beaumont Structures, Inc. ; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 is being proposed in the amount
of $8 ,578.00 for extra work required for the removal of various
underground obstructions encountered during site preparation and for
seeding; aria,
WHEREAS, the project has been completer in accordance
with the plans and specifications;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authe_Lized to execute
Change Order No. 2 , in the amount of $8 ,578. 00, to the contract
between the City of Beaumont and Beaumont Structures, Inc. increasing
the amount of the contract to $1 ,267 ,126 .00 and to make final payment
to Beaumont Structures, Inc. in the amount of $70,505. 00.
