R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont, Texas has provided a
public sanitary sewerage system, and has established a Water
Utilities Department with full authority to manage, operate and
maintain said system; and,
WHEREAS, the safe, proper, and correct operation of said
sewerage system is dependent upon the proper and safe discharge
into the sewerage system by the customers being served by the
system; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary that safe levels of discharge be
planned, monitored and maintained so as to comply with the Clean
Water Act; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary that these goals be endorsed by
the City Council to show its support for such program and
implementation;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City of Beaumont' s pretreatment program has the full
support of the City Council and that the Council has adopted the
amended industrial waste ordinance and declares its intent to
support the administration of said ordinance and to provide the
funding required for the implementation of the pretreatment
program.
