BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF' THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby , authorized to sign the
attached attestation to the continuation of the South East Texas
Employment and Training Consortium Agreement existing between the
City of Beaumont, Hardin County, Jefferson County , and orange
County. The Consortium will request designation as a "service
delivery area" for the Jobs Training Partnership Act.

ATTESTATION OF INTENT TO CONTINUE THE CONSORTIUM AGRMIENT
The South East Texas Employment and Training Program hereby requests
consideration for designation as a "service delivery area" for the purpose
of receiving funds within the new Jobs Training Partnership Act. The ori-
ginal consortium formed in 1973 for the purpose of administering CETA funds
is currently performing the employment and training efforts for the three
county area. It is our presumption that we will provide the transition mecha-
nism and continued operation of the new legislation. We would appreciate your
approval of designation of the consortium in this effort.
