WHEREAS, bids were received for Contract 5 - Segment 66
Interceptor, Grant #C-481254-04 ; and,
WHEREAS, Saucier & Sons Enterprises , Inc . submitted a bid
in the amount of $1 ,089 ,740 .50 ; and,
WHEREAS,--the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Saucier & Sons Enterprises, Inc. is the lowest and best
bid and should be accepted;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Saucier & Sons Enterprises, Inc. is hereby accepted
by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Saucier & Sons Enterprises, Inc. , subject to
Environmental Protection Agency and Texas Department of Water
Resources approval , in the amount of $1 ,089 ,740 .50 for Contract 5-
Segment 66 Interceptor, Grant #C-481254-04 .
